Why do I need a testimonials section on my website?

Testimonials from former clients show your future clients how amazing and incredibly talented you are at your job. If someone says you did a great job for them it will make others more likely to book you in the future. It also shows you’re a legit designer/social media manager/copy writer etc. because there are actual people who have seen you do it for them and now share those experiences.

Step 1: Start with a new canvas

Choose the page of your website you want your testimonials section to live on. Then add a new canvas to that page by click on the 3 dots next to the page name and then ADD BLANK CANVAS:

Step 2: Design the testimonials canvas

Take your time to craft a beautiful client testimonials canvas. Don’t forget to include a backwards and a forwards facing arrow because you want your page visitors to be able to click through all the testimonials:

Step 3: Add canvas view

To create a click through every single testimonial needs to be in a separate CANVAS VIEW. Go to the 3 dots next to the canvas name and select ADD CANVAS VIEW:

Step 4: Add design elements to the canvas view

You will see the new VIEW 1 you just created at the bottom. Go ahead and select all the design elements EXCEPT the 2 arrows and drag and drop them into canvas view 1:

Step 5: Duplicate the canvas view

Now duplicate canvas view 1 to add a second testimonial by clicking on the 3 dots next to VIEW 1 and click DUPLICATE. Canvas view 2 is going to be for client testimonial 2. Change the image, the text, and the client’s name accordingly:

Step 5: Adding click actions to the arrows

You’re almost done with your testimonials section! Yeay!! 🙂 The last step is to actually make everything clickable. This is where your 2 arrow icons are needed. Select the BACK ARROW in the panel on the left, then go to CLICK ACTIONS in the panel on the right. There you will choose the following:

  1. Type: Canvas
  2. Canvas: This Canvas
  3. Canvas View: Previous
  4. Check the box for Reverse Transition Direction
  5. Check the box for Loop Canvas Views:

No do the exact same thing for your FORWARD ARROW, except you need to choose NEXT for the Canvas View, not previous:
